Amazon Dropshipping Product Research Techniques

Amazon Dropshipping Product Research Techniques

Amazon Dropshipping is a profitable yet risky business. In order to keep the account safe from suspension, no seller dares to start dropshipping. Being an Amazon seller you are one step away from huge profit which you can earn just by making sure to learn the techniques and methods of Dropshipping. I am going through all the tactics to find profitable products for the Amazon Dropshipping business.

Amazon Movers and Shakers

Amazon Movers and Shakers is a section where Amazon keeps adding best-selling products on a daily and weekly basis. So Search on Google “Amazon Movers and Shakers” and open the first link that will lead to the Amazon Movers and Shakers section. Now, on the left side, you’ll see lists of categories where you can choose the category you want to find products from. Don’t forget to install the Quick DS chrome extension to see the number of sellers on listings. More the sellers on a particular listing, more chances are there that the product is being dropshipping.

Seller Snipping Method

This is an easy and effective but lengthy research method because it requires manually going and snipping the seller’s product catalogs or storefront. In this method, we do find sellers who are dropshippers.  All you have to do is to go and type a keyword in the Amazon search bar. For example, “Plush toy for dog”. Open any listings which have more sellers and open the sellers one by one in a new tap. Go and click on the “Products” on the seller store page and see their products catalog.

Always try to scan those sellers with a large number of reviews and good ratings because this indicates that the seller is already done with research and is doing well with hot selling items and there is room for you to make some profit.

Using AmzScount Pro Chrome Extension Method

This research method is exactly like the previous Seller snipping method. The only difference here is the AmzScout Pro chrome extension that will be used to speed up the process by using some filters and adjustments. Open any seller with a large number of product catalogs and click on the AmzScout Pro extension. Once the extension fully loads you will see that particular seller’s products. Now, click on the “Filters” button at the bottom of the extension page and adjust the filters as follows: The minimum number of sellers 4, Estimated sales 50, mark the MCH option as checked to remove the FBA sellers. Moreover, you can keep the FBA option checked to get the opportunity to get the sales once the FBA seller goes out of stock. Now, once the extension loads all products, open them one by one and see if you can dropship them.

Keepa Product Finder

Keepa is a great tool to find potential products for Wholesale and Dropshipping. It gives some good filters to play around with to find high-potential products. Here are the filters to follow to grab products for Dropshipping business.

Head over to Keepa and go to the Data section and first tap “Product Finder” now, click on Advanced Filters' ' and implement these filters.

Sales rank from 1 to 100k.

Check “New, Third-party FBA” as “Out of Stock”.

Checkmark “Third-party sellers as Out of Stock”

At the root category option, use your preferred category and do the same for the sub-category. Mark Third Party Seller at the Buy Box Seller filter.

Select product to Standard.

Rating should be adjusted as minimum 3 and max 5.

Put the  “Availability of Amazon offer” to “No Amazon Offer Exist” and

Also, mark check the “Amazon offer is currently out of stock but will the future”

New offer counts should be a minimum of 3 and a max 50

Now, once you apply these filters you will see a lot of laser-focused targeted products to play around with. The next most important step is to find suppliers for these products which I will cover in my next post.
